DISCOVER THE MOST FAMOUS SKI TOUR IN THE WORLD

CROSS THE DOLOMITES AND ADMIRE AMAZING VIEWS

POSSIBLE ROUTE VARIATION: VAL DE MEZDĺ

As well as the traditional activities of skiing mountaineering and off-piste skiing, the mountain guides are the ideal companions to be accompanied on the pistes in the most famous resorts of the Dolomites.

The most famous is certainly the Sellaronda Ski Tour, the spectacular ski carousel that crosses through the four Ladin valleys of Livinallongo-Arabba, Badia, Gardena, and Fassa, with a total length of 25 miles, 16 of which are for skiing, set in a landscape of rare beauty.

Sellaronda Ski Tour, amazing Dolomites!

One of the most beautiful ski raids in the world, the Sella Ronda is a ski tour around the Sella Massif. You can do this ski safari, clock- or counterclockwise.

Along the route, there are plenty of refuges and refreshment points where you can stop off to recharge your batteries before setting off again with renewed vigor in search of new thrills. It can easily be done in a day by intermediate skiers. The trip is a circular route, so it can be started from any of the 4 valleys that surround the Sella.

For expert skiers, there is the opportunity to the Sass Pordoi cable car (2.860 m) and then ski down the Sella Massif through the spectacular Val de Mezdì. This valley offers panoramic views and was the location of several scenes from the movie, Cliffhanger. This route is entirely off-piste and requires a one-hour trek from the cable car summit to the top of the Val de Mezdì (3.400 m) where a 3 km technical and steep descent awaits skiers.

The Sella Ronda Ski Tour also gives access to a further 500 km of connected skiing with neighboring resorts, so there is no shortage of trails should you wish to explore.

If you are staying in Cortina, the average skier would be rushed to finish it in a day. An overnight stay in Rifugio Lagazoui or one of the other villages is recommended. Do you like skiing? Believe me, don’t miss the Sellaronda Ski Tour!
